New Commissions Price Guide

You as the customer, can email or message, via facebook or this website, high quality photos of the subject you want drawn, more than one photo is always very helpful . The better the quality of photo, the more details I will be able to incorporate into the drawing. You should then consider what size you would like. A helpful tip is to imagine which part of your home you would hang or place your portrait. I can do most sizes from A5 to A2+. If you have a specific size in mind, we can discuss that during your order. At this point you also need to consider the background of the drawing. Do you want it plain white or a coloured paper? Do you want the same background that's in the photo, or something completely different like flowers, butterflys or a poem maybe?

So you have sent in your photos and chosen a size & background. I will then show you a mock up of what the layout of your portrait will look like (this is more helpful with multiple subjects). Changes can then be made if there's something you wish to amend.

All being well, and you wish to continue with the process, a deposit will be required at this stage to secure your booking (Deposits are non refundable and cover me for the cost of materials used only), where a working week will be allocated for each subject (you may have a 5 subject portrait, 5 weeks will be allocated), but in reality the portrait could be completed much sooner.

Then all you have to do is sit back and leave the creative stage to me.

All portraits are drawn using professional materials with the highest lightfast ratings such as Faber Castell Polychromos,  Caran D'Ache Pablo & Luminance pencils, Pastelmat and Bristol Board papers.

I am also offering needle felt portraits, which are created from lambs wool and then framed.

I am only currently doing these in A3 rough 30 x 45 cm. If you have a different size then please email me and i can discuss your requirements.

Where as greetings cards and prints are a fixed price, commissions are not as there are so many variables to consider. So please consider this more of a starting price to give you a general idea. Once we have discussed your ideas etc, I can quote you a fixed price.

I am also aware that art is not cheap due to the materials and hours of work used to create your bespoke portrait. So, bearing this in mind, I also offer interest free payment plans to enable you to have the portrait you want.

These sizes are for the paper, the artwork will be a couple of cm smaller so as to accommodate framing (framing not provided).

All prices quoted are for the artwork only. Mounts, p&p/shipping are seperate.(I do not frame the work, as damage whilst in the postal system could cause irreparable damage to the portrait).

I can also do smaller or larger than the sizes stated above. So if you have a specific size in mind, to fit a special frame you may already own, then I will do my upmost to help.

A 25% deposit is required to secure bookings. (Deposits are non refundable and cover me for materials used only).
